Kiehl’s has quickly become one of my favourite brands. Launched in 1851, they have decades of expertise and offer a wide range of products for all skin types. Their staff are highly knowledgable about products and can always offer you recommendations, and if you ask nicely, samples too.
These are my favourites from Kiehl’s for combination / dehydrated and oily skin!
Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence was my first love from the brand. I came across this at a time I was desperate for a hydrating essence for extremely dehydrated skin, and I adore it. Not only does the bottle last me ages, it’s so hydrating and beautiful. I use it in the pm, and in the am when my skin needs some extra TLC.
Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask does make you look like Shrek, yes, but it also leaves your skin soft, hydrated and nourished. This is a balm texture and needs to be warmed up between your hands before application, and it goes on so smoothly. Leave it on for 15 minutes and enjoy the softness of your skin after. Looovely!
Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask is another mask for hydration, but a quite different one to the avocado mask. I find this lovely and almost cooling, so after a day in the sun or when you’re just feeling a bit exhausted, this feels amazing on the skin.
Glow Formula Skin Hydrator is such a fabulous and versatile product. This is a moisturiser, but for my dehydrated skin it’s not enough during the colder seasons, so I use this as a primer. As you can see, it’s slightly tinted, but it suits all skin tones as it doesn’t leave a tint much as an illuminating glow. It’s perfect for no makeup days, as well as a makeup base.
Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate is such a fun texture. It’s quite thick when it comes out of the bottle, but it turns into a watery texture when it hits your skin. It’s extremely hydrating, so it’s a must for combination skin!
As mentioned, Kiehl’s is always generous with samples, so a couple of other products I will definitely purchase full size of are the Daily Refining Milk-Peel Toner which is a mild BHA toner. It exfoliates as well as hydrates, so for me, this is perfect in the am. Finally, the Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque is fantastic. The texture is a lovely gel texture, but it’s thick enough to be a proper sleeping mask. So hydrating and plumping!
